What is a bracket?

There are small squares that attach to the enamel. Brackets have a small passage for metal wire that connects all of your teeth and transmits the force from the wire to the tooth. These metal pieces remain on your teeth during treatment and are then removed at the end.

Orthodontics with metal brackets

Metal brackets made of pure steel are the most common treatment. Today's brackets are much smaller than they used to be, so they look better. They are easy to work with, have good adhesion to the teeth, have high compressive strength and are less expensive than other types of orthodontic brackets. Therefore, it is more common in the treatment of people.

Orthodontics with ceramic brackets

Ceramic brackets are the least painful, they are very similar to metal types, and their distinguishing feature is that they are made of transparent ceramics. The orthodontic wire used in these brackets can also be slightly whiter than metal types, which helps make them less visible. In terms of impact on dental and orthodontic problems, these brackets are very similar to metal types and can be used in most patients who do not have severe irregularities. However, the final diagnosis depends entirely on the doctor's opinion. One of the weaknesses of ceramic brackets is their fragility and discoloration of the clamps in the distance between the two visits.

Invisible orthodontics

Transparent clear plaques are called liners, the number of which is determined according to the patient's condition. Those plates, which are made with advanced technology and software, are one of the latest modern and advanced orthodontic achievements that are very comfortable, hygienic and effective.

The advantages of clear liners and the main reason for its increasing popularity and demand in adults is its invisibility. This feature helps patients who receive orthodontic treatment appear confident and comfortable, because no one notices their orthodontic treatment.

Each liner should be used for two weeks and 22 hours a day, and should only be taken out of the mouth when eating, drinking and brushing. By replacing each plaque with the planned force, the teeth gradually move in the right direction.

Lingual orthodontics

In lingual orthodontics, the brackets are attached to the inner surfaces of the teeth and no one notices. One of its problems is not seeing its benefits and interfering with eating, dealing with the tongue and health problems. Usually this method is not done in our country.

Removable orthodontics

The removable orthodontic appliance (orthodontic plate) is placed on your teeth and has the ability to take it out of your mouth for a moment and use it again. Usually used for mild dental movements.
